Lorain's Shawver and Zakrajsek move on...Loschetter joins locals, Russell leads Qualifying and Ron Mohr fires 300

The pros are in Lorain for the 5th consecutive year as Rebman Recreation plays host to the PBA Baldo Campana Central Region Open and Seniors Open.  Qualifying took place earlier today on the Viper Pattern and in the Seniors Division.

Ronnie Russel of team DV8 led qualifying today heading into tomorrows match play.  Lorain's Rick Shawver qualified 3rd and Motiv staffer and Lorainite Rick Zakrajsek (also PBA Host for this year) made the round of 12 for Sundays match play and finals.

Avon's and LBA member Chris Loschetter a member of Team Brunswick (you'll be seeing him on ESPN in the upcoming weeks in the PBA Summer Team Shootout in Chicago) also will be vying for another Regional title tomorrow.

Another big name: Dayton's Bryan Kretzer of Team Roto Grip also no surprise qualified for tomorrows action.

Come out to Rebmans and catch some of the excitement, it should be fun.  The Action kicks off at 9am.

On the other side of the center, the PBA Seniors came to town in hopes of a title.  Rohn Mohr fired a 300 on a tough pattern today.  Guppy Troup was an absolute joy to have around mixing with fans and old friends.  Remember Dave Soutar from ABC's televised PBA tourneys, well he qualified for tomorrows match play as the first Senior Lorain PBA title is up for grabs.

Check back the first of the week for all the results and more stories from the PBA's visit to Lorain!
